Vietnam island guide · Research checked 17 September 2026
Looking for vegan-friendly hotels in Phu Quoc? This island stop is about choosing a stretch of coast you will enjoy returning to, then making the hotel's food work for your stay. Our guide compares Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort with Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc: one publishes explicitly vegan restaurant dishes, while the other offers a vegetarian menu that needs a more specific vegan enquiry. [3] [5]
Which Phu Quoc resort should you shortlist?
Start with Pullman when clearly labelled vegan lunch or dinner dishes are your priority. Compare Mövenpick Waverly for an Ong Lang base, but establish the complete vegan preparation before booking. Neither is a fully vegan resort, and neither menu alone confirms the breakfast included in your chosen rate.

Pullman opens a labelled hotel-name search; Mövenpick opens its matched property listing. No travel dates, room category or meal package is preselected.
Phu Quoc hotels at a glance
Choose your stretch of coast first
Phu Quoc offers long beaches and an island landscape that contrasts with Vietnam's northern mountain and limestone regions. The national tourism authority highlights Long Beach for sunset-facing coastal stays. Treat the beach as part of your itinerary, not simply a background to the room photograph. [1]
Bai Truong / Long Beach
Pullman's location is in the Long Beach area. Its accommodation spans standard rooms, suites and other formats, including pool-access options. Compare the specific category rather than assuming every room has the same view or access. [6]
Ong Lang
Mövenpick Waverly is at Ong Lang on the west coast. Its website distinguishes the resort from the Villas & Residences within the wider complex. Match the property name and room type before comparing rates. [4]
Our suggestion is to choose the base that fits the evenings you want. Planning to eat mostly at the hotel makes a varied, agreed dinner selection particularly valuable. Planning to go out regularly makes the exact address and transport arrangements just as important as a resort's facilities.
Two Phu Quoc stays to compare
Stay 01 · Explicit vegan dishes · Restaurant-led choice
Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort
Base: Long Beach area
Food evidence: operator-published Salt 'n' Pepper menu, 2026 edition
Pullman is worth investigating when you want named dishes to plan around before arrival. At its Salt 'n' Pepper restaurant, the published 2026 food menu distinguishes vegan from vegetarian with separate symbols. That is more informative than assuming a vegetable dish is suitable because no meat appears in its name. [3]
Two concrete examples are the vegan fresh spring rolls, served with peanut sauce, and fried tofu in tomato sauce, which also carries the vegan symbol. These give you a starter and a main-dish enquiry. Ask about the accompaniments and enough alternatives for the number of nights you intend to eat on site. [3]
The restaurant describes a mixed breakfast buffet, followed by à-la-carte dining later in the day. The vegan-labelled dishes therefore support a lunch or dinner plan; they do not establish that the buffet's noodle broth, baked goods or drinks are vegan. Arrange breakfast separately with the team. [2]
For a short island stay, our suggested approach is to agree the first evening's meal before arrival and leave other dinners flexible. For a longer resort holiday, request a sample of several complete meals. A room-and-breakfast offer may be useful, but only once you know what you will actually receive.
Stay 02 · Ong Lang · Confirm vegan preparation
Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc
Base: Ong Lang
Food evidence: The Islander's operator-described vegetarian Go Healthy menu
Mövenpick offers a different coastal base, with rooms, a pool and several dining venues within the wider complex. This profile concerns Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc; do not substitute a similarly named residence listing without checking the accommodation and meal conditions. [4]
The resort describes a Go Healthy menu at The Islander. Its examples include a Vietnamese tofu baguette made with vegan ribs, a salad with ginger-miso dressing, tomato penne and vegetable glass noodles. However, the overall selection is called vegetarian, not vegan. [5]
The baguette's filling is a promising lead, but the bread and signature sauce still need checking. Similarly, gluten-free pasta is not automatically egg-free, and a vegetable noodle dish needs its stock and seasoning confirmed. Request the complete vegan preparation rather than relying on the menu title or one ingredient.
Our suggestion is to keep this as an Ong Lang alternative requiring confirmation. Ask The Islander for a complete breakfast and dinner proposal, including what belongs to your rate. The hotel's wider dining and confectionery offers should be assessed individually, not assumed suitable because a vegetarian menu exists.
A relaxed three-night Phu Quoc plan
Arrival evening: keep the first meal simple and pre-agreed. There is little value in buying an elaborate dining package before you understand its vegan provision. Allow the first evening to settle into the accommodation rather than promising yourself a tightly timed outing.
First full day: make it a beach-and-hotel day. Use breakfast to establish the dishes and drinks you would like on subsequent mornings, then decide whether to reserve another restaurant meal. This gives you space to enjoy the setting without organising every hour.
Second full day: choose one island outing or a different stretch of coast, then return for a planned dinner. Phu Quoc's beaches and forested interior offer different ways to shape a visit; confirm the practicalities of your chosen activity independently. This is our suggested rhythm, not a tour, transport schedule or hotel package. [1]
Settle breakfast before buying a meal package
Ask for a substantial dish, suitable bread or other accompaniments, and your preferred plant drink. Specify no fish sauce, oyster sauce or animal stock as well as no dairy, eggs or honey. A restaurant menu and an included breakfast are separate questions.
We eat vegan, without meat, fish, seafood, fish sauce, oyster sauce, animal stock, dairy, eggs or honey. Please describe a complete breakfast and two different dinner options for our dates. Which venue serves them, what notice is needed, and which meals or supplements are covered by our room rate?
Keep the response with the booking. Compare cancellation conditions and the full meal cost, not just the room headline. Any allergy should be discussed separately; a vegan request is not an allergy-safety agreement.
Vegan-friendly Phu Quoc hotels: FAQ
Are these fully vegan resorts?
No. Pullman has documented vegan dishes in a mixed restaurant. Mövenpick is a vegetarian-menu lead requiring a specific vegan confirmation.
Which option has an explicitly vegan-labelled menu?
Salt 'n' Pepper at Pullman publishes a 2026 menu with separate vegan and vegetarian symbols. Confirm the current dishes before your stay. [3]
Is Mövenpick's Go Healthy selection entirely vegan?
That has not been established. The resort describes it as vegetarian. Check complete recipes, sauces and breakfast separately. [5]
Does breakfast included mean vegan breakfast included?
Not necessarily. A room rate can include breakfast without specifying the preparation or dishes you need. Obtain the hotel's reply before relying on it.
Does the title photograph show either recommended resort?
No. It is an archival Phu Quoc destination photograph, not a featured hotel, its beach frontage or a guaranteed room view.
