Your Brazil accommodation hub
Choose your setting.
Find your kind of stay.
A city hotel with a plant-based café, a small coastal pousada and a residential retreat offer very different holidays. This hub brings together our seven Brazil guides so you can compare locations, follow the full profiles and understand what each food offer actually covers.
These are not seventeen fully vegan hotels. The collection includes two vegan-led stay formats, nine other properties with operator-published vegan dining offers, and six entries where the evidence needs stronger confirmation.
Different offers, clearly explained
A vegan kitchen, a menu option
or a question for the host?
A homestay and a retreat
soulrebel rio describes plant-based breakfasts in a private hosted home. Unah Piracanga has a fully vegan restaurant within its residential retreat offering. These are different accommodation products, not two independently certified vegan hotels. [R4] [R14]
Read the scope of the offer
These properties publish vegan dishes, café menus, breakfast options or advance dietary arrangements. A dedicated venue does not make the rest of the hotel vegan. Breakfast, room service and included meals may be separate services.
Keep the limitations visible
Hilton Copacabana, EcoVila-Zen, ibis Rio Vermelho, Pontal Gardens, Hotel das Cataratas and Sanma need a more specific food reply. Their evidence includes platform breakfast labels, mixed dietary headings or vegan desserts without an established complete meal plan.
A distinctive option beyond conventional hotels
Unah Piracanga: fully vegan food, a retreat format
Karuh is described by its operator as a 100% vegan restaurant. Choose this stay for the retreat itself, then check the programme, room arrangement and arrival requirements. The operator link is retained because the existing regional research did not confidently match this specific product on Booking.com. [R14]

Coastal escapes & waterfall stays
Four focused comparisons add eight more properties. The regional names describe travel areas, not interchangeable hotel districts; follow each guide for the exact locations and booking conditions.

Paraty & Costa Verde
Pousada Literária and Pontal Gardens offer two Paraty bases. Compare operator-published vegan restaurant options with a platform breakfast label. Neither property is on Ilha Grande.

Porto de Galinhas & Maragogi
Kembali's adults-only hotel and Pousada Ecohar Yoga's smaller coastal format. Both publish vegan dining arrangements, with advance requests and mixed vegetarian/vegan catering distinguished.

The Brazil accommodation collection
17 stays, with the food
evidence beside each one.
Every property from the seven guides appears below, without double-counting. Follow the full profiles for detailed research notes and accommodation checks. A published menu is useful evidence, not a personalised kitchen agreement for your dates.
Affiliate disclosure: Booking.com buttons are affiliate links. A qualifying reservation may earn Vegan Lifestyle a commission at no extra cost to you. Fifteen buttons use the matched property pages recorded in our local guides; Hilton has a clearly labelled hotel-name search. Unah retains the official-site exception for its specific retreat offer. No button guarantees availability, a price or a vegan meal package.
São Paulo
Full São Paulo guide →01 · Ibirapuera area · Rua Joinville
Fully plant-based café on sitePullman São Paulo Ibirapuera
Yucafé's menu is described as entirely plant-based. The ordinary hotel breakfast is a separate service at Macáya, so establish what your selected room rate includes before planning every morning around the café. This is a conventional hotel with a dedicated plant-based venue, not an entirely vegan property. [R1]
02 · Alameda Santos
Named vegan menu itemsTivoli Mofarrej São Paulo
The local guide records expressly vegan items in MUST's operator-hosted 2026 menu, including falafel and a chocolate dessert. The restaurant page also linked an older menu at the research check. Ask which version applies, and request a substantial vegan main and breakfast rather than building a meal plan around isolated items. [R2]
03 · Bela Vista
Vegan-labelled choices at Le JardinRosewood São Paulo
Le Jardin's operator-linked menu supplies a specific vegan burger and dessert starting point. Compare this café and garden-dining offer with the other city hotels, then check the breakfast served under your rate. A vegan dish at Le Jardin does not establish the same selection in every Rosewood restaurant or through room service. [R3]
Rio de Janeiro
Full Rio guide →04 · Santa Teresa hills
Vegan-led hosted homesoulrebel rio
The host describes a private home with plant-based breakfasts and vegan group catering, not a conventional hotel. Choose it as a hillside stay rather than a beachfront base. The linked Booking.com product is the suites listing; the separate loft and its jacuzzi should not be assumed to belong to every room category. [R4]
05 · Copacabana · Avenida Atlântica
Explicit vegan main courseCopacabana Palace, A Belmond Hotel
Pérgula's published menu names a vegan peach-palm moqueca. Use that main-course lead to discuss a complete meal, while agreeing the ordinary breakfast separately. Read the full profile and check current facility notices with the hotel before making pool access part of your decision; promotional photographs are not a guarantee of availability. [R5]
06 · Copacabana · Avenida Atlântica
Vegan confirmation requiredHilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana
Clarice's combined vegan-and-vegetarian menu section contains cheese-based dishes as well as plant-focused preparations. It does not establish that the whole section is vegan. Request named vegan mains, their accompaniments and a complete breakfast before relying on hotel catering. The Booking.com button remains a labelled hotel-name search. [R6]
Salvador
Full Salvador guide →07 · Barra · Salvador
Dedicated vegan menu sectionMonte Pascoal Praia Hotel Salvador
The operator's Menu Vegano includes substantial savoury dishes with tofu and vegetables. Breakfast remains a separate enquiry, and the menu's ambiguous gelatine dessert needs its gelling agent clarified. The linked property is the Barra hotel in Salvador, not the similarly named hotel in Porto Seguro. [R7]
08 · Stella Maris–Flamengo area
Platform breakfast label · confirm firstEcoVila-Zen Bougainville
The Salvador guide records a vegan breakfast category on Booking.com, not an itemised operator menu. Ask the host to explain the actual meal and its inclusions. This northern-coast guesthouse-style stay is a different base from Barra and the historic centre; confirm the entrance and beach route rather than assuming direct beach access. [R8]
09 · Rio Vermelho · Salvador
Vegan breakfast needs confirmationibis Salvador Rio Vermelho
Booking.com's vegan breakfast category is broader than the vegetarian information recorded on the operator page. Keep the two claims separate and ask for the dishes behind the label. Check whether breakfast is included in your particular reservation, then plan lunch and dinner independently of that morning-food enquiry. [R9]
Paraty & Costa Verde
Full Paraty guide →10 · Paraty historic centre
Published vegan restaurant optionsPousada Literária de Paraty
Quintal das Letras explicitly offers vegan and vegetarian dishes within a mixed menu. This provides a named restaurant to approach for a Paraty stay. Request the current mains and discuss breakfast separately, including its venue and rate inclusions. Choose the room and arrival arrangements independently of any restaurant reservation. [R10]
11 · Pontal · Paraty
Platform breakfast label · confirm firstPousada Pontal Gardens
The local research records a vegan breakfast category on the matched Booking.com listing. An itemised current operator menu was not established. Ask the host what a filling vegan breakfast contains, how much notice is required and whether the selection is included. Lunch and dinner need a separate plan. [R11]
Porto de Galinhas & Maragogi
Full coastal guide →12 · Merepe II · Porto de Galinhas
Vegan dining on advance requestKembali Hotel
Kembali expressly includes vegan preferences in its personalised dining offer and asks for advance notice. Its ordinary breakfast is mixed, so request the vegan selection rather than assuming every buffet dish is suitable. The hotel is advertised as adults-only: check the current age requirement and your precise room category before reserving. [R12]
13 · Maragogi · Alagoas
Vegetarian and vegan cateringPousada Ecohar Yoga
Ecohar describes vegetarian and vegan food in a small coastal pousada setting. Specify that your meals must exclude dairy, eggs and honey, rather than relying on the vegetarian part of that description. Establish breakfast, other meals and any activities under the actual product you book; the property's name does not promise an included retreat programme. [R13]
Itacaré & Piracanga
Full Bahia coast guide →14 · Piracanga Ecovillage · Maraú Peninsula
Retreat with fully vegan cateringUnah Piracanga
The operator describes Karuh as a fully vegan restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unah's residential retreat is a different booking from an independent hotel room in Itacaré. Check the programme dates, private or shared accommodation, bathroom arrangement and community guidance before paying. The food statement does not certify the entire eco-village or imply therapeutic benefits. [R14]
Official-site exception: no confidently matched Booking.com offer for this specific retreat in the regional research.
15 · Tiririca Beach · Itacaré
Vegan options at vegetarian breakfastPousada Sage Point
The property's own booking information describes vegetarian breakfast with vegan options. This is the independent beach-stay alternative to Unah. Ask for the complete vegan meal and choose your suite carefully: layouts and access differ. Do not infer an all-day restaurant or included classes from the breakfast offer. [R15]
Foz do Iguaçu & the falls
Full falls-area guide →16 · Inside the Brazilian national park
Vegan desserts · complete meals unconfirmedHotel das Cataratas, A Belmond Hotel
The falls-area guide records explicitly vegan desserts in Ipê's menu, but its VG legend means vegetarian. Vegetable-led main courses cannot automatically be treated as vegan. Request a substantial main, accompaniments and breakfast before relying on hotel catering. The in-park setting is a separate benefit to assess, with arrival and admission arrangements checked independently. [R16]
17 · Near the Brazilian park entrance
Platform breakfast label · confirm firstSanma Hotel
Sanma's matched Booking.com listing provides a vegan breakfast category in the local research. An itemised operator vegan menu was not established. Ask for the actual dishes, service time and any early-departure arrangement. This hotel is near the Brazilian park entrance, outside the park; it is not the same location as Hotel das Cataratas. [R17]
Build a trip that suits you
Choose fewer bases.
Make each stay worthwhile.
These are editorial planning ideas, not packaged tours or verified transfer schedules. Decide where you want to spend time, then arrange the journeys and the meals you will actually use.
City time & a coastal pause
Choose the city that fits your wider itinerary, then compare one coastal base. A Paraty pousada, a Maragogi stay and a hotel in Salvador serve different travel plans. Do not treat the seven guides as a short route with negligible travel between them.
Independent nights or a retreat?
Build the trip around Unah's confirmed programme dates when the retreat is the reason to travel. Choose an independent hotel, homestay or pousada when you prefer to organise your own days. Agree room sharing, meals and transfers as separate parts of the quote.
A waterfalls-focused stay
Compare being inside the Brazilian park with staying near its entrance. At both featured hotels, resolve substantial vegan meals before relying on a board package. Keep park access, excursions and any cross-border travel arrangements separate from the room booking.
Ask for a complete meal
Request a filling breakfast and the main meals or snacks you intend to eat on site. Name meat, fish, seafood, animal stock, dairy, butter, eggs and honey. Include sauces, cooking fats, bread and dessert ingredients in the question.
Record what is included
Keep the venue, service times, advance notice, reservations and supplements alongside the room category. A vegan café is not an included hotel breakfast, and a vegetarian or lactose-free label does not establish vegan preparation. Keep the reservation flexible while essential answers are missing.
We eat vegan, without meat, fish, seafood, animal stock, dairy, butter, eggs or honey. Please describe a complete breakfast and suitable main meals for our dates. Which venue serves them, what does our selected rate include, and are advance notice, reservations or supplements required? Please also confirm the exact room product and arrival arrangements.
Useful answers
Vegan hotels in Brazil: FAQ
Are all 17 properties entirely vegan?
No. The collection includes a vegan-led homestay, a retreat with fully vegan catering, conventional hotels with specific vegan food offers, and entries requiring stronger confirmation. It is not an independent certification of every kitchen, furnishing or toiletry.
Where can I find fully vegan catering in this collection?
Unah Piracanga describes Karuh as a 100% vegan restaurant. It is part of a residential retreat offer, so confirm the programme and inclusions. Pullman's Yucafé is also entirely plant-based, but it is one venue within a conventional São Paulo hotel. [R14] [R1]
Which six properties need stronger vegan confirmation?
Hilton Copacabana, EcoVila-Zen Bougainville, ibis Salvador Rio Vermelho, Pousada Pontal Gardens, Hotel das Cataratas and Sanma. The issues range from mixed dietary categories to platform breakfast labels and limited menu items. Read the individual profile before relying on included catering.
Why does Unah have an official-site button?
The regional research did not confidently match a Booking.com offer for this specific retreat product. The operator link is kept rather than substituting another Piracanga property with a similar name. The other 16 booking buttons use Booking.com, including one clearly labelled Hilton search.
Is soulrebel rio a hotel with the same facilities in every room?
The host describes a private home, not a conventional hotel. Suites and the separate loft are different products. The linked listing is for suites; do not assume a private jacuzzi, full board or every feature shown elsewhere by the operator. [R4]
Does a vegan menu option guarantee vegan breakfast?
No. A café, a dinner restaurant and the breakfast included in a room rate may be separate services. Ask for the complete breakfast and named mains, identify where they are served, and record any notice or extra charge.
Do these regional guides cover every nearby destination?
No. The Costa Verde profiles are in Paraty, not Ilha Grande. Porto de Galinhas and Maragogi are separate bases. Unah is in Piracanga, not Itacaré town. Both falls-area hotels are on the Brazilian side, with only Hotel das Cataratas inside the park.
Do the photographs show the featured hotels?
No. The hero is a view towards Rio de Janeiro from Niterói, and the cards show destination scenery. The Itacaré image depicts Prainha, not Sage Point's Tiririca Beach or Unah's location. None is presented as a hotel-room photograph or a guaranteed view.
