Vegan Hotels Geneva compares three conventional full-service stays with documented plant-based food, from a historic lakefront landmark to practical bases for the airport and United Nations district. Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues has the most central luxury setting, Hilton Geneva publishes the clearest general promise of vegan restaurant plates, and InterContinental Genève combines a marked menu category with strong operational sustainability measures.
None is a fully vegan hotel. All operate mixed kitchens that serve animal-derived food, and no dedicated vegan preparation area is documented. “Vegan-friendly” applies only to the options described below. Menus change frequently in Geneva; confirm the current dish, breakfast provision, ingredients, sauces, honey, shared utensils, cross-contact and allergy requirements before booking.
HOTEL 01 · VEGAN-FRIENDLY
Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva
The premier lakefront luxury choice, with an official commitment to vegan menu items and the easiest setting here for exploring central Geneva on foot.
The historic hotel stands at 33 Quai des Bergues on the Rhône at the edge of Lake Geneva. The Old Town, lakeside promenades, city-centre shopping and Cornavin railway station are accessible on foot, while its restaurants, spa and polished service suit a special occasion or high-end business stay. This is the most convenient of the three properties for travellers who want a landmark address rather than an airport or diplomatic-quarter base.
The hotel’s official sustainability information explicitly states that vegan and vegetarian menu items are available. That establishes genuine plant-based provision, but it does not identify a particular restaurant, breakfast range or current dish. The property has several conventional food-and-drink outlets serving meat, fish, dairy and eggs. Ask the concierge which venue can provide a fully plant-based meal during the stay and request ingredient and cross-contact details when they matter.
Four Seasons reports renewable or carbon-free energy, energy-saving room controls, water conservation, recycling, the removal of single-use plastic water bottles and food containers, and conversion of organic waste into biogas. Its kitchens also describe local and seasonal menu planning, responsibly sourced seafood, cage-free eggs and food-waste reduction. The property participates at Swisstainable Level I – Committed, which reflects a sustainability check and action plan rather than an independently audited hotel certification.
- Classification: Vegan-friendly; luxury hotel with several conventional mixed-menu restaurants.
- Vegan highlight: The hotel officially confirms that vegan menu items are available, although it does not publish a fixed dish or dedicated vegan menu.
- Location: 33 Quai des Bergues, on the Rhône beside Lake Geneva and within walking distance of the Old Town and central shopping.
- Sustainability: Swisstainable Level I, renewable or carbon-free energy, plastic reduction, organic-waste recovery and local, seasonal purchasing measures.
- Best for: Luxury city breaks, celebrations, lakefront atmosphere and a highly walkable central address.
HOTEL 02 · VEGAN-FRIENDLY
Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre
The practical airport and Palexpo choice, with the clearest direct restaurant statement that a selection of vegan plates is available.
Hilton Geneva stands at Route François-Peyrot 34 in Grand-Saconnex, close to Geneva Airport and directly beside the Palexpo exhibition complex. Extensive meeting facilities, an indoor pool and fitness amenities make it particularly suitable for conferences, trade fairs, flight connections and longer business stays. Central Geneva is reachable by public transport, but this is not a walk-out-the-door Old Town location.
The hotel’s official OXBO information says the restaurant offers a selection of vegetarian and vegan plates, while its current menu uses a separate “Vegan” key rather than combining the two categories. That is stronger evidence than a vague willingness to adapt a dish. OXBO still serves a broad conventional menu, and the menu warns that products are prepared in an environment where allergens are present. Confirm which marked plates are available, and ask separately about breakfast and cross-contact.
Geneva Tourism lists the hotel at Swisstainable Level III – Leading, the programme tier requiring recognised external sustainability evidence. Hilton Geneva says OXBO uses local, seasonal and responsibly sourced ingredients and publishes a provenance map for selected products. These statements support a sourcing commitment, but they do not establish a fixed 200-kilometre rule or property-level food-waste reduction, certify the restaurant as vegan, or remove the wider footprint of a large airport and conference property.
- Classification: Vegan-friendly; airport conference hotel with a conventional restaurant and mixed breakfast service.
- Vegan highlight: OXBO explicitly advertises a selection of vegan plates and uses a dedicated vegan menu key.
- Location: Route François-Peyrot 34 in Grand-Saconnex, beside Palexpo and close to Geneva Airport.
- Sustainability: Swisstainable Level III – Leading, stated use of local, seasonal and responsibly sourced ingredients, and a published provenance map for selected products.
- Best for: Flights, Palexpo events, conferences, indoor-pool facilities and travellers prioritising documented restaurant choice over a central address.
HOTEL 03 · VEGAN-FRIENDLY
InterContinental Genève by IHG
The strongest choice for the United Nations district, pairing an explicitly marked vegan menu category with Green Key certification and detailed resource-saving measures.
InterContinental Genève is a luxury hotel at 7–9 Chemin du Petit-Saconnex, close to the Palais des Nations and international organisations. Its rooms, meeting facilities, spa and seasonal outdoor pool suit diplomatic, business and leisure stays north of the centre. The lakefront and Old Town require a short public-transport journey, but the location is especially useful for appointments in Geneva’s international quarter.
The current official Woods restaurant menu has a distinct “Vegan dish” marker, separate from its vegetarian marker. Woods describes its signature menu as seasonal, unique and ephemeral, with elements changing as often as weekly, so naming one August 2026 plate as a permanent hotel feature would be misleading. The restaurant also serves animal-derived dishes and no equivalent vegan breakfast guarantee was verified. Check the latest menu and notify the hotel before arrival.
The hotel says it is Green Key certified and reports a renewable cooling system using Lake Geneva water, LED lighting across all 333 rooms, removal of single-use plastics, recycling and local sourcing. It also offers myclimate-supported meeting options and donates or recycles selected materials and amenities. These are substantial operational measures, but neither Green Key nor the menu symbol establishes a separate vegan kitchen or allergen-safe preparation.
- Classification: Vegan-friendly; luxury international hotel with a changing mixed-menu restaurant.
- Vegan highlight: Woods uses a dedicated “Vegan dish” marker on its official current menu.
- Location: 7–9 Chemin du Petit-Saconnex, convenient for the Palais des Nations and Geneva’s international organisations.
- Sustainability: Green Key certification, renewable lake-water cooling, LED lighting, plastic reduction, recycling and local sourcing.
- Best for: United Nations visits, diplomatic and business travel, luxury facilities and guests who will confirm the current seasonal dish.
Choosing a vegan-friendly hotel in Geneva
Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva is the strongest option for lakefront luxury and central walkability, Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre publishes the clearest general promise of vegan restaurant plates, and InterContinental Genève by IHG is the natural choice for the United Nations district and certified environmental management. Each requires current menu confirmation because none operates a vegan kitchen.
Hotel dining can be useful for one meal, but the evidence does not support assuming complete plant-based breakfast, lunch and dinner coverage at any of these properties. Tell the hotel about vegan and allergy requirements in advance, ask staff to identify current dishes and preparation methods, and keep independent city restaurants in the itinerary.

Accommodation, dining, sustainability and booking information was checked against current official hotel, restaurant, certification, tourism and Booking.com pages on 27 August 2026. Menus, ingredients, suppliers, policies, certifications, opening hours and room availability can change; reconfirm directly before booking or travelling.
