Vegan breakfast & brunch in Santa Fe

Earliest reliable start

Annapurna’s and Santa Fe Teahouse both publish 8am openings, although the Teahouse is closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Daily 9am option

Sweetwater serves brunch/lunch from 9am every day and clearly documents vegan dishes inside a mixed kitchen.

Weekend timing

Santa Fe Teahouse advertises Sunday jazz brunch from noon to 3pm; check special-event service before planning around it.

Not every early café is vegan

Use the status badges and ordering notes rather than assuming plant-forward, vegetarian or gluten-free language means fully vegan.

Plan your Santa Fe food stops

Santa Fe’s restaurant geography is spread across Downtown/Guadalupe, Canyon Road, Midtown and the Agua Fria/Cerrillos corridors, so clustering stops saves time.

  • Downtown / Guadalupe: The Wrap and Cowgirl are easy to pair with central sightseeing.
  • Canyon Road: Santa Fe Teahouse fits gallery visits and early brunch.
  • Midtown: Sweetwater and Annapurna’s work well for breakfast or lunch; use Annapurna’s new Don Diego address, not the old St. Michaels location.
  • Agua Fria: Ras Rody’s is a destination food truck with a rotating menu; confirm hours before travel.

Santa Fe vegan dining FAQ

Which restaurant in this guide is fully vegan?

Ras Rody’s Jamaican Vegan is the clearest fully vegan business in this selection. Annapurna’s is vegetarian with many vegan dishes, while the other profiles are mixed kitchens with documented vegan choices.

Where can I get vegan breakfast in Santa Fe?

Annapurna’s opens at 8am daily and offers many vegan dishes. Santa Fe Teahouse opens at 8am Thursday–Monday with vegan options, and Sweetwater serves brunch/lunch from 9am daily.

Did Annapurna’s move?

Yes. The Santa Fe branch’s current operator page lists 1100 Don Diego Ave and a 2026 grand reopening. Older references to 1620 St. Michaels Drive are outdated.

Is Sweetwater fully vegan?

No. It is a mixed restaurant with vegetarian, vegan, paleo and omnivorous dishes. Its facility is completely gluten-free, which is a separate distinction from being vegan.

Why is BODY Cafe not a main profile?

BODY’s official page currently describes a 100% plant-based menu but still carries “Coming soon in August 2026” launch wording and conflicting Monday/Tuesday closing times. Until the operator page clearly confirms current opening status, this guide treats it conservatively rather than presenting it as a verified open stop.

Does the guide work without Google Maps consent?

Yes. Restaurant descriptions, addresses, source links and directions remain usable. Google photos and mini-maps are optional and load only after Maps consent.

Research notes & image credit

Checked 20 September 2026. Official restaurant websites, current menus, operator location pages and current local listings were prioritized. This is desk research, not a claim of personal visits. Hours, menus, prices and service formats can change.

Vegan does not automatically mean allergen-free. Vegetarian and mixed kitchens are labeled separately, and travelers with allergies should confirm ingredients and cross-contact directly with the restaurant.
