Vegan Hotels Nice compares three very different Riviera stays with current evidence of vegan breakfast or vegan restaurant options. The selection includes an airport hotel with excellent tram connections, a Green Key city-centre hotel and a Promenade des Anglais property with a vegan-tagged rooftop restaurant.
None of these properties is fully vegan or vegetarian. All operate mixed kitchens, so vegan travellers should reconfirm the exact buffet and restaurant choices, ingredients and cross-contact arrangements. Nice remains an appealing base for a plant-based break because the centre is compact and independent vegan cafés and restaurants are accessible by foot or tram.
HOTEL 01 · VEGAN-FRIENDLY
OKKO Hotels Nice Aéroport
A modern four-star airport stay whose current listing explicitly includes vegan breakfast.
The exact accommodation listing names vegan among the available breakfast types, alongside continental, vegetarian and gluten-free choices. The hotel’s restaurant otherwise serves a mixed menu, so ask staff to identify vegan buffet items and confirm any evening requirements.
OKKO has 135 rooms in the Grand Arénas business district opposite Nice airport. Its top-floor glass Club is open 24 hours a day and combines a bar, work and relaxation spaces, snacks and a fitness area with inland views. The hotel also offers a sauna and meeting facilities.
Nice Saint-Augustin station is about 400 metres away, the airport roughly ten minutes on foot and Grand Arénas tram stop serves lines 2 and 3. The Promenade des Anglais can be reached in about ten minutes by tram and Vieux-Nice in around 30 minutes.
- Classification: Vegan-friendly; mixed breakfast and restaurant.
- Vegan highlight: Vegan breakfast explicitly listed.
- Location: 147 Boulevard René Cassin, Grand Arénas.
- Sustainability: OKKO’s mission focuses on ecological sobriety, local products and lower-impact hospitality; the property also uses refill-water solutions noted by guests.
- Best for: Early flights, short stays, tram access and business travel.
HOTEL 02 · VEGAN-FRIENDLY
Hôtel Florence Nice
A centrally located Green Key hotel with vegan breakfast listed and dietary needs handled on request.
The current accommodation listing includes vegan among the breakfast types. The hotel’s own breakfast page describes cereals, dried fruit, fresh fruit salad, jams, juices and other buffet items, and asks guests to mention specific dietary needs to reception. Because the buffet also includes dairy, eggs, meat, pastries and honey, notify the hotel in advance and ask which products are fully vegan.
The 52-room hotel sits on a quiet pedestrian street just off Avenue Jean Médecin. Place Masséna is roughly five minutes away, and the Promenade des Anglais, beach and Vieux-Nice can be reached on foot. A tram stop immediately outside makes the location especially convenient without a car.
- Classification: Vegan-friendly; vegan breakfast should be confirmed in advance.
- Vegan highlight: Vegan breakfast listed, with special dietary needs accepted by reception.
- Location: 3 Rue Paul Déroulède, central Nice.
- Sustainability: Green Key certified, Nice’s first three-star hotel with the Eco-Label in 2012, reduced single-use packaging, regional products, food-waste measures and a textile recycling programme.
- Best for: Walkable sightseeing, shopping, rail arrivals and car-free stays.
HOTEL 03 · VEGAN-FRIENDLY
AC Hotel Nice
A Promenade des Anglais hotel with a seasonal rooftop restaurant officially tagged for vegan dining.
Marriott’s official dining directory categorises Farago on the Roof as Mediterranean, vegetarian and vegan. This provides a clear on-site plant-based option when the seasonal rooftop restaurant is operating. Breakfast is mixed and should be checked directly; do not assume every buffet item is vegan simply because the rooftop venue caters to vegan diners.
The hotel stands at 59 Promenade des Anglais, around 150 metres from a direct tram connection to the airport. It offers a seasonal rooftop pool, rooftop dining, the AC Lounge and a 24-hour fitness room. The beachfront setting is the strongest of this selection for travellers who want the sea at the centre of their stay.
- Classification: Vegan-friendly; seasonal mixed restaurant with vegan options.
- Vegan highlight: Farago on the Roof is officially tagged as a vegan dining venue.
- Location: 59 Promenade des Anglais, close to the beach and tram line 2.
- Sustainability: Green Key certified, guest-room recycling, and published property footprints of 2.51 kg carbon and 328.69 litres of water per room night.
- Best for: Beachfront stays, rooftop views and airport-tram convenience.
