Vietnam coastal hotel guide · checked 11 September 2026

Looking for vegan hotels in Da Nang and Hoi An? This stretch of central Vietnam offers three different ways to organise a plant-based holiday: a dedicated meal plan at TIA Wellness Resort, published vegan menu options at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, and advance-arranged vegan meals at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort. The distinction matters more than the number of restaurants a resort advertises.

Which coastal stay fits your vegan holiday?

Compare TIA first when you want a named package with plant-based meals throughout the day. Choose The Nam Hai as a beachfront Hoi An candidate with explicitly published vegan options. Consider InterContinental Danang for a Son Tra Peninsula stay where the chefs accommodate vegan requests with advance notice. None is presented here as a wholly vegan hotel. [D1] [D4] [D6]

Three settings, one regional guide: Da Nang's beachfront, Ha My Beach near Hoi An and the Son Tra Peninsula are different bases. This is a selected coastal comparison, not a claim that all three resorts are in Hoi An Ancient Town or beside the same beach.

Quick comparison: three coastal stays

Choose the coastal base before the room

Da Nang beachfront: TIA

TIA gives its address as 109 Vo Nguyen Giap in Da Nang. The resort's private-pool villa format is a different proposition from an Old Town guesthouse. Our planning suggestion is to decide how much of the day you want to spend at the resort before buying a structured meal package. [D1] [D3]

Ha My Beach: The Nam Hai

The Nam Hai's dining information places Lá Sen on Ha My Beach. Compare it as a beach-based Hoi An stay rather than assuming your room opens onto the Ancient Town streets. Plan transport around the resort's precise address and the evenings you want to spend away from it. [D5]

Son Tra Peninsula: InterContinental

InterContinental Danang is the peninsula option. Its terraced resort layout has different accommodation levels connected by the Nam Tram. Ask about the route between your room, the beach and the dining venue, especially when step-free access or limited walking is important to your party. [D6]

Three vegan-friendly hotels in Da Nang and Hoi An

Stay 01 · Named plant-based meal package

TIA Wellness Resort

Location: Vo Nguyen Giap, Da Nang beachfront
Best fit: travellers who want meals built into a particular retreat arrangement

TIA's Retreat Inclusive offer includes a full-board plant-based meal plan. That is a concrete reason to shortlist it for a food-led stay: the arrangement concerns meals across the day, not simply a vegetarian corner at breakfast. The resort also sells a differently named Wellness Inclusive stay, so the two should not be treated as interchangeable. [D1] [D3]

The linked retreat menu illustrates what the plant-based kitchen can prepare. Examples include tofu-and-mushroom dumplings in vegetable broth and a chocolate dessert made with tofu. These are examples from the published plan, not a promise that the same dishes will be served on your dates. Request the current menu, meal times and portion arrangements before selecting the package. [D2]

TIA's wider food service is not described as exclusively vegan. A standard villa reservation should therefore not be assumed to include the retreat meals or to turn every restaurant dish into a plant-based one. Ask the team to put the exact food arrangement on the booking confirmation, including what happens on arrival and departure days.

Choose this option when a resort-centred holiday fits your plans. For a sightseeing-heavy trip, compare the package with the meals you will actually be present to eat. A vegan holiday does not require fasting or a restrictive programme; choose the amount and type of food that suits you.

Food evidence: operator-published full-board plant-based retreat plan and a linked sample menu. Confirm Retreat Inclusive by name; this is not a whole-hotel vegan certification.

Stay 02 · Published vegan menu options

Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai

Location: Ha My Beach, Hoi An area
Best fit: a conventional beachfront resort with an explicit vegan-food statement

The Nam Hai's own sustainability information explicitly states that vegan menu items are available. That supports its inclusion as vegan-friendly without inferring a vegan kitchen from a garden, an environmental label or the general word “wellness”. Vegetarian and gluten-free choices are listed separately. [D4]

Its dining venues have different roles. Café Nam Hai combines breakfast service with an Indian dinner offer, while Lá Sen serves contemporary Vietnamese food beside Ha My Beach. Those restaurant identities help you ask the right team about your meals, but the resort-wide vegan statement does not specify every dish at every venue. [D5]

Before choosing a breakfast-inclusive rate, request a complete vegan breakfast rather than relying on dinner options alone. Ask which mains are available at lunch and dinner, how sauces and stocks are prepared, and whether advance notice is needed. For several nights, variety matters: a named selection is more useful than a promise that a chef can “make something”.

Our reason to compare The Nam Hai is the combination of a beach base and operator-confirmed vegan choices. It gives more flexibility than committing to a full retreat meal plan, provided you establish the meals and charges separately. Match the room category and outdoor space to your own plans rather than assuming that all accommodation has identical features.

Food evidence: explicit vegan-menu availability from Four Seasons. The resort serves mixed diets; particular breakfast dishes, restaurant access and meal inclusions still need confirmation.

Stay 03 · Vegan catering with advance notice

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort

Location: Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang
Best fit: travellers comfortable agreeing their vegan meals before arrival

The resort's FAQ expressly says that its chefs accommodate vegan dietary requirements with advance notice. This is a clear operator commitment, but it is request-based provision rather than an inspected, fully vegan daily menu. Send the request before booking a non-refundable stay, not only after arriving at breakfast. [D6]

The resort lists several distinct dining venues, including Citron and La Maison 1888. Do not assume the same menu or reservation conditions apply across them. Explain which meals you need and ask the hotel to identify the venue that will provide each one. A suitable special dinner does not establish a workable breakfast routine. [D7]

The FAQ also makes clear that breakfast is not included in every room rate. Compare your selected offer with the agreed food plan, including supplements and restaurant reservations. For a longer holiday, ask for several breakfast and dinner alternatives and specify ingredients such as fish sauce, oyster sauce and animal stock, as well as eggs and dairy. [D6]

This is the peninsula alternative to TIA's Da Nang beachfront address and The Nam Hai's Hoi An beach setting. Choose it because that location and style of resort fit your holiday, then confirm the room's access and outlook separately. The food statement is useful; it is not a guarantee that every room booking includes an individually arranged menu.

Food evidence: official FAQ confirming vegan catering with advance notice. Agree the dishes, dining venues, notice period and charges for your particular reservation.

Build the booking around a full day of food

Compare like with like

At TIA, establish whether the quoted offer is the plant-based retreat package. At The Nam Hai, request actual menu choices for the meals you need. At InterContinental, send the vegan request in advance and confirm breakfast inclusion.

Then compare the room, cancellation terms and likely meal supplements. A suitable dinner is valuable, but it should not conceal an unresolved breakfast or a package you will rarely use.

A message for the hotel

We eat vegan, without meat, fish, seafood, fish sauce, oyster sauce, animal stock, dairy, eggs or honey. Please describe a complete breakfast and suitable lunch and dinner for our dates. Which meals does our chosen rate include, where will they be served, and are advance notice, reservations or supplements required?

Combine beach time with the days you want out

Our editorial starting point is to choose one coastal base, allow a relaxed day at the property and organise sightseeing on separate days. A structured retreat plan can suit a mostly on-site stay; a flexible breakfast arrangement may work better when you expect to eat out frequently.

For a trip combining Da Nang and Hoi An, plan each outing from the complete hotel address rather than the destination name in a search result. Ask about arrival and departure meals when your transport falls outside the normal service. This guide does not verify transfers, opening hours of attractions or excursion schedules.

Vegan hotels in Da Nang and Hoi An: FAQ

Are these three hotels entirely vegan?

No. TIA has a named plant-based retreat meal plan, The Nam Hai publishes vegan menu availability, and InterContinental accommodates vegan requests in advance. Their wider dining and hotel services are not presented as exclusively vegan.

Which TIA package includes a plant-based meal plan?

Retreat Inclusive. TIA distinguishes it from Wellness Inclusive. Confirm the named package and its current meal inclusions rather than assuming that every TIA reservation includes full-board plant-based food. [D3]

Does The Nam Hai explicitly offer vegan food?

Yes. Four Seasons lists vegan menu items on the property's sustainability page. Ask which dishes and venues apply to your stay, and confirm breakfast separately. [D4]

Should I request vegan meals at InterContinental before arrival?

Yes. The official FAQ specifies advance notice for dietary requirements including vegan meals. Ask for the actual food plan and whether your room rate includes breakfast. [D6]

Are all three resorts in Hoi An Ancient Town?

No. This regional guide compares Da Nang beachfront, Ha My Beach in the Hoi An area and the Son Tra Peninsula. Check the precise property address and plan your journeys from there.

Does the Booking.com button include the vegan package?

No. It opens a labelled hotel-name search. Check the exact property and rate, then agree the meals with the hotel. A search result is not a confirmation of the TIA retreat package or an individually prepared menu.
