Where to stay vegan in Greece?

For a vegan hotel concept, start with GOJI and Açai on Rhodes or Ethos, MOD and Koukoumi in the Cyclades. For a city break, the Athens and Thessaloniki guides compare named restaurant and brunch options. Crete adds beach resorts with a dedicated vegan restaurant or vegan choices within mixed dining services.

These are different kinds of hospitality. This hub connects the six local guides and explains what the food evidence actually covers. Each hotel profile links to the detailed guide and its source notes; a dietary label is not treated as a guarantee of every meal.

Apollonia and Agapi appear in both the Heraklion and Crete guides. Each is counted once here, giving 16 distinct stays rather than 18 separate properties.

From our original Greece guide: Apollonia Beach, GOJI, Ethos, MOD Santorini and Koukoumi remain part of the collection. Eight existing, permission-cleared hotel photographs are displayed with their matching GOJI, Ethos, MOD and Koukoumi profiles below.

Short profiles connect you to the full local guides and their source assessments. The order is not a scored ranking. Original hotel portraits remain linked, while the updated guides explain current dining distinctions.

Buttons marked “Search” open hotel-name results rather than a verified property-specific offer. Always check the hotel address, travel dates, room category and meal inclusions.

01 · Syntagma · Plant-based restaurant

Niki Athens Hotel

Niki's Winners restaurant is explicitly plant-based. It provides a clear dining lead for a central Athens stay, without establishing that every hotel service is vegan. Arrange the actual breakfast dishes and serving time separately, especially before an early departure.

Food basis: the hotel's Winners restaurant statement. Confirm restaurant operation and which meals your rate includes.

02 · Mitropoleos Street · Vegan menu

Electra Metropolis Athens

Metropolis Roof Garden has a separately identified vegan menu within its wider mixed offer. Compare this hotel for a rooftop dinner as part of a city break. The restaurant outlook is not a promise of the same view from every bedroom, and dinner does not establish breakfast suitability.

Food basis: the rooftop restaurant's linked vegan menu, documented in the Athens guide. Confirm current dishes and charges.

03 · Plaka · Garden-restaurant options

Electra Palace Athens

The hotel's zohós restaurant explicitly describes vegan options within its Greek dining concept. This is a different hotel and restaurant from Electra Metropolis. Ask for the current menu and breakfast arrangements rather than extending one venue's vegan statement to every hotel restaurant.

Food basis: zohós's vegan-option statement and the hotel's dining information. Breakfast and room-view categories are separate checks.

04 · Dodekanisou Street · Vegan brunch section

Vanoro Hotel

ANZA Kitchen & Bar is Vanoro's named dining venue. Its brunch menu contains a vegan section, giving you specific dishes to discuss before choosing a breakfast-inclusive rate. Ask which items are part of that rate and whether dinner offers the variety you need.

Food basis: ANZA's published vegan brunch section and Vanoro's gastronomy information; the wider food offer remains mixed.

05 · Aristotelous Square · Vegan meals on request

Electra Palace Thessaloniki

Orizontes, above Electra Palace, states that vegan options are available upon request. Contact the hotel before arrival for the actual courses, notice period and charges. A square-side room and a rooftop restaurant are different parts of the booking; confirm each on its own terms.

Food basis: Orizontes's official request-based vegan provision, not a verified all-vegan breakfast buffet.

06 · Rebelou Street · B&B and associated café

The Caravan B&B

The Caravan is the smaller-accommodation alternative, linked to a café with a vegan-marked brunch item. The B&B lists Rebelou 1 and the café Vamvaka 3. Clarify where you will eat and whether café food is an extra purchase; this is not a confirmed vegan B&B breakfast package.

Food basis: the operator's café connection and vegan-marked café menu. Accommodation breakfast needs separate confirmation.

Crete: city and north-coast stays

Read the Crete guide →

Four distinct properties across the Heraklion and Crete guides. Apollonia and Agapi appear in both guides, but are listed only once below.

07 · Amoudara · From our original collection

Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa

Avocado is an exclusively plant-based restaurant within a conventional beach resort. The operator specifies booking at least three days ahead and one included dinner for all-inclusive guests, with operating restrictions. Plan the other meals separately instead of assuming unlimited Avocado dinners.

Food basis: Apollonia's Avocado restaurant conditions. This is an Amoudara beach base, not a downtown Heraklion hotel.

Earlier Apollonia hotel portrait →

08 · Amoudara · Vegan buffet options

Agapi Beach Resort

Mediterraneo publishes vegan options within its main buffet service. Ask for examples at breakfast, lunch and dinner rather than treating a general dietary label as a complete daily menu. Compare the actual room or bungalow and any additional restaurant arrangements alongside the meals.

Food basis: the official Mediterraneo main-restaurant page. The buffet serves mixed diets; additional venues have their own conditions.

09 · Central Heraklion · Seasonal restaurant

Lato Boutique Hotel

Lato's Brillant restaurant explicitly lists vegan options and a November–March operating period. That seasonal evidence is not a confirmed summer food service. Its rooftop restaurant's vegetarian wording is not treated as proof of a vegan menu. Check breakfast and the currently operating venue.

Food basis: Lato's Bars & Restaurants page. The central location is an alternative to the Amoudara resorts; main-building and annex rooms differ.

10 · Hersonissos · Adults-only mixed-diet hotel

Cook's Club Hersonissos

Cantina publishes vegan dishes within its mixed à la carte offer. The hotel is positioned around an adults-only, social atmosphere rather than a quiet retreat. Its published half-board arrangement uses credit towards dinner, so compare what that credit covers instead of expecting an unrestricted evening buffet.

Food basis: the property's Restaurant & Bar information. Confirm vegan breakfast, dinner-credit limits and extra charges.

11 · Ialysos · Original vegan hotel & photographs

GOJI Vegan Hotel

GOJI combines a small-hotel format with an explicitly vegan food identity. Its operator describes plant-based breakfast, snacks and home-style dinner. Compare the studio category and current meal arrangement, and keep the Ialysos address distinct from a Rhodes Town stay.

Food basis: GOJI's vegan cuisine and hotel information. Confirm the included meals, serving days and room category.

Earlier GOJI hotel portrait →

12 · Rhodes Town · Plant-based hotel concept

Açai Plant-Based Hotel

Açai is the town-based alternative, with a plant-based restaurant and a defined half-board arrangement. Its FAQ describes table-served breakfast and a dinner of starter or salad, main and dessert. Drinks are excluded and brunch is separate. Check the exact suite and selected rate.

Food basis: the hotel's restaurant statement and meal-plan FAQ. Its Papalouka address is different from GOJI's Ialysos location.

13 · Ialysos area · Vegan-friendly Cantina

Cook's Club Ialysos

Cantina describes vegan dishes within a changing mixed menu. This is a conventional adults-only hotel, not another wholly vegan property. Confirm a complete vegan breakfast and any dinner charges, and choose the Ialysos hotel rather than confusing it with the brand's separate Kolymbia property.

Food basis: property-specific restaurant information. Compare the social atmosphere and exact room category as well as food.

The Cyclades: Santorini & Mykonos

Read the Cyclades guide →

14 · Fira, Santorini · Original vegan suites

Ethos Vegan Suites

Ethos provides a small Fira suite stay with homemade vegan breakfast. It is a breakfast-led base rather than a promise of an included dinner restaurant. Use the Fira property name and room description: Ethos's separate Imerovigli accommodation must not be confused with this listing or these photographs.

Food basis: Ethos Fira's vegan hospitality and breakfast information. Arrange any additional meals directly with the hosts before booking.

Earlier Ethos hotel portrait →

15 · Santorini · Original adults-only vegan stay

MOD Santorini Vegan Boutique Hotel

MOD describes an adults-only vegan stay with a three-course plant-based breakfast included in the room rate. Accommodation categories differ: some are kitchen-equipped garden apartments, while other suites have different balconies or hot tubs. Match your booking to the exact room, not a shared terrace photograph.

Food basis: MOD's current accommodation and breakfast information. Picnics and other extras require separate arrangements.

16 · Ano Mera, Mykonos · Original vegan hotel

Koukoumi Vegan Boutique Hotel

Koukoumi combines a vegan hotel identity with a plant-based restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is in Ano Mera on Mykonos, not on Santorini or beside the Mykonos Town waterfront. Compare the selected suite and meal inclusions before adding restaurant experiences or other extras.

Food basis: Koukoumi's official hotel and restaurant information. A full restaurant offer does not make every meal part of every room rate.

Before you reserve

Three details that make the stay work

Confirm the actual meals

Ask what you will eat, where it is served and which meals the rate includes. Request vegan breakfast separately from dinner. At request-based or seasonal venues, arrange the food before arrival rather than relying on a general dietary label.

Check the exact location

Heraklion city and Amoudara are different bases. Rhodes Town and Ialysos are not the same address. Santorini and Mykonos require separate travel planning. Match every reservation to the complete hotel name, address and room category.

Compare the whole package

Look beyond the room price. Check restaurant visit limits, dinner credit, drinks, service dates and cancellation terms. An included breakfast, half board and all-inclusive are different arrangements, not equivalent promises of vegan food.

“We eat vegan, without meat, fish, dairy, eggs or honey. Please describe a complete breakfast and the other meals available for our dates. Which are included in our rate, which restaurants will operate, and are advance notice, reservations or supplements required?”

Useful answers

Vegan hotels in Greece: FAQ

Are all 16 stays entirely vegan?

No. GOJI, Açai, Ethos, MOD and Koukoumi describe vegan or plant-based hotel concepts. Other entries concern vegan restaurants, menus, buffet options or an associated café within conventional hospitality. This collection is not independent certification of every hotel product or service.

Which places have their own guides?

Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion with Amoudara, Crete, Rhodes and the Cyclades. The Cyclades guide focuses on Santorini and Mykonos. Each guide has three stays; two properties overlap between Heraklion and Crete, leaving 16 distinct entries in this hub.

Which hotels are retained from the original Greece article?

Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa, GOJI Vegan Hotel, Ethos Vegan Suites, MOD Santorini and Koukoumi Vegan Boutique Hotel. Their earlier hotel portraits remain linked, and the updated local guides explain current food arrangements.

Are the hotel photographs genuine property images?

The eight gallery photographs are the existing GOJI, Ethos, MOD and Koukoumi images reused with permission. They remain with the matching properties. The hero and Athens card are separately identified AI-generated destination illustrations. No unrelated photograph is labelled as Apollonia.

Is a vegan restaurant enough to confirm breakfast?

No. Breakfast can use a different menu or service and may be charged separately. Ask for the actual dishes, serving hours and inclusion in your selected rate. A café brunch item does not establish an included B&B breakfast.

Is Apollonia's vegan restaurant included every night?

The published Avocado conditions specify one included dinner for all-inclusive guests and a reservation at least three days ahead. Confirm the conditions and operating dates for your booking; other meals and additional visits need separate arrangements.

Can I rely on Lato's vegan restaurant throughout the year?

Lato publishes Brillant's vegan options with a November–March operating period. This is not confirmation of summer vegan dining. Ask which venue will operate on your dates and request a separate breakfast description.

Why do some Booking.com buttons say Search?

They open hotel-name search results where a current property-specific destination was not confirmed in the local-guide research. Check the full property name and address before reserving. No button guarantees availability, an agreed vegan meal or a particular room package.

Sources, selection and photographs

Hub compiled on from the six linked city and regional guides, researched on the same date. Each “Full profile & sources” link leads to the relevant accommodation section and the guide's source assessment. This is desk research, not an account of hotel visits or written meal confirmations for individual reservations.

Source trail: Athens research notes cover Niki, the Electra hotels and their restaurants. Thessaloniki research notes distinguish ANZA, Orizontes and The Caravan café. Heraklion and Crete explain Apollonia, Agapi, Lato and Cook's Club. Rhodes and Cyclades document the vegan hotel concepts and meal arrangements.

Additional operator checks for this hub covered GOJI's hotel information, MOD's breakfast and adults-only positioning, Koukoumi's hotel and restaurant concept, and Apollonia's Avocado conditions. Older facility, health and whole-property claims were not adopted simply because they appeared in the original country article. Menus, room features and services can change.
