Vegan Hotels Lyon compares three practical city stays with documented plant-based breakfast or meal support. The options cover a flexible budget hotel with a guest kitchen, a boutique-style Rhône address and an upscale base directly opposite Part-Dieu station.

Lyon is famous for traditional bouchons, but its tourism office also lists fully vegan restaurants, vegan patisseries and a plant-based food tour. None of the hotels below is fully vegan. MEININGER and OKKO are classed as vegan-friendly; Pullman is presented more conservatively as vegan on request because its official restaurant information currently promises vegetarian rather than vegan choices.

HOTEL 01 · VEGAN-FRIENDLY

MEININGER Hotel Lyon Centre Berthelot

The clearest hotel-specific vegan breakfast statement in this selection, plus a guest kitchen.

The Lyon property explicitly advertises vegan options on its breakfast buffet. MEININGER’s official dietary guide says the typical selection can include bread rolls, breads and toast, jams, vegan spread, baked beans, cereals, vegetables, coffee, tea, juice and water. Soya milk is available on request, although individual products may vary by hotel.

With 169 private, family, multi-bed and dormitory-style rooms, MEININGER suits budget-conscious travellers, families and groups. The guest kitchen makes it easier to prepare a reliable vegan meal, and the lounge, game zone and terrace add useful shared space.

Centre Berthelot tram stop is about 200 metres away and Jean Macé station around 500 metres away. Perrache station is roughly 1.3 kilometres from the hotel, giving easy access to both the Presqu’île and the Rhône’s left bank.

  • Classification: Vegan-friendly; mixed breakfast buffet.
  • Vegan highlight: Explicit vegan breakfast options, published typical buffet choices and a guest kitchen.
  • Location: 7 Rue Professeur Zimmermann, Lyon 7e.
  • Sustainability: On-request room cleaning, an EV charging point, chain-wide removal of 95% of single-use breakfast plastic and food-waste cooperation with Too Good To Go.
  • Best for: Families, groups, self-catering and value-focused stays.

HOTEL 02 · VEGAN-FRIENDLY

OKKO Hotels Lyon Centre

A central four-star stay beside the Rhône with vegan breakfast and an evening alternative available on request.

Current accommodation information lists vegan among the breakfast types. It also says that a vegan alternative to the evening cheese or charcuterie tasting plate can be prepared on request. The official buffet description includes seasonal organic fruit, raw vegetables, breads, jams and muesli, but the hotel also serves eggs, dairy, fish and meat. Ask staff to identify the vegan items each day.

The hotel occupies a renovated former Préfecture building facing Pont Lafayette. Its 85 rooms include premium options, some with Rhône views or balconies. Guests can use the 24-hour Club, coworking space, local-product snacks, gym and Cave à Manger.

Cordeliers metro is roughly 550 metres away, Foch about 670 metres, and Part-Dieu can be reached in under ten minutes by public transport. This is the strongest location here for travellers who want both the Presqu’île and the riverfront within easy reach.

  • Classification: Vegan-friendly; evening vegan option on request.
  • Vegan highlight: Vegan breakfast listed and vegan aperitivo alternative available with advance notice.
  • Location: 14 bis Quai du Général Sarrail, Lyon 6e.
  • Sustainability: The property participates in Environmental Labelling, tracking greenhouse-gas emissions, biodiversity effects, water and resource use.
  • Best for: Boutique-style stays, Rhône views and walkable central itineraries.

HOTEL 03 · VEGAN ON REQUEST

Pullman Lyon

An upscale rail-connected hotel where vegan breakfast is listed, but vegan restaurant meals should be reconfirmed.

Current accommodation information includes vegan among the breakfast types. Pullman’s own dining page, however, describes PAMPA’s regular menu as providing vegetarian and gluten-free choices rather than a guaranteed vegan range. For that reason, this guide classifies Pullman as vegan on request. Add the request to your reservation and ask whether breakfast, dinner, brunch or room-service dishes can be adapted without dairy, eggs, honey or animal-based sauces.

The property has 168 rooms and suites, generally at least 30 square metres, with connecting and family configurations for up to seven guests. PAMPA restaurant and bar, a patio, 24-hour room service and a 150-square-metre fitness centre support a more full-service stay.

Pullman stands directly opposite Part-Dieu station, with fast airport access via Rhônexpress. Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse is around nine minutes away on foot and Parc de la Tête d’Or approximately 17 minutes.

  • Classification: Vegan on request; mixed restaurant.
  • Vegan highlight: Vegan breakfast is listed, but current options should be confirmed before arrival.
  • Location: 14 Place Charles Béraudier, directly opposite Part-Dieu station.
  • Sustainability: BREEAM building certification, Green Key, zero-plastic measures, local sourcing, filtered-water stations and refillable room bottles.
  • Best for: Rail arrivals, airport connections, larger rooms and business trips.
