Turkey regional hotel guide · researched 10 September 2026

Searching for vegan hotels on the Turkish Riviera? Start by choosing between a beach-resort holiday and a city-based coastal stay. This regional guide compares Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection in Side, Lara Barut Collection in Lara and Akra Antalya with its TheLifeCo restaurant. The focus is the Antalya coast: three different bases, with different ways of arranging vegan meals. It complements our Antalya hotel guide rather than treating every resort marketed under Antalya as the same destination.

Which Turkish Riviera hotel suits a vegan holiday?

Start with Acanthus Cennet for Side and an explicitly advertised vegan buffet. Compare Lara Barut for vegan options at all main-buffet meals. Choose Akra Antalya when a dedicated raw-vegan restaurant and the named TheLifeCo Vegan Gourmet Room arrangement matter more than a conventional resort buffet. None of these descriptions makes the entire hotel vegan. [R1] [R2] [R3]

Regional scope: “Turkish Riviera” is a broad coastal travel label. This shortlist covers Side, Lara and Antalya city, not every resort on the southern coast. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free are different requirements; check the individual dishes and your room package.

Booking.com buttons are affiliate links. A qualifying booking may earn Vegan Lifestyle a commission at no extra cost to you. A button labelled “Search” opens hotel-name search results, not a verified room offer.

Quick comparison: three coastal stays

Where to stay on the Turkish Riviera

Side: a resort base with a historic setting

Acanthus Cennet is the Side option in this comparison. The operator highlights Side’s ancient theatre and Temple of Apollo among nearby destination sights. Choose this base when you want a resort stay with the possibility of time in the historic town. Work out the actual route from your room rather than assuming every “Side” hotel occupies the same stretch of coast. [R4]

Lara: make the resort food service the starting point

For a holiday centred on the accommodation, compare how breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks work together. Lara Barut is useful here because its published dietary information addresses the main buffet across the day, rather than only one restaurant dish. Assess the food arrangement before paying extra for a room feature that does not change what you can eat. [R2]

Antalya city: keep sightseeing and specialist meals separate

Akra Antalya is the city-based choice. It is particularly relevant when you want TheLifeCo’s specific food concept without assuming that the rest of the hotel follows it. Plan your outings around the meals actually included in your reservation. Our city guide offers a closer comparison of Antalya and Lara stays. [R3]

Three vegan-friendly hotels to compare

Stay 01 · Explicit vegan-buffet statement

Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection

Location: Side, Antalya coast
Best fit: A conventional coastal resort with a published vegan-food offer

Acanthus Cennet’s own dietary-information page specifically lists a vegan buffet and separately mentions vegetarian food. That distinction makes it a more concrete starting point than a hotel that only promises to accommodate preferences. The property also lists a main restaurant and several other dining venues; those venue names are not, by themselves, evidence that every menu is vegan-friendly. [R1] [R4]

Before choosing your board arrangement, ask which services contain the vegan selection and whether the kitchen can show you a typical day’s menu. The published statement does not specify a daily number of vegan mains, a separate kitchen or a guarantee for every snack outlet. For a longer stay, ask about variety rather than only whether a vegan meal is possible.

Our practical reason to shortlist it is the combination of a Side location and an explicit food statement. Compare the room and cancellation conditions independently. A sea-view room, a swim-up category and a family room are different accommodation products, not different standards of vegan catering.

  • ✓ Official page expressly advertises a vegan buffet.
  • ✓ Side provides a different base from Antalya city and Lara.
  • ✓ Confirm the serving periods and the meals in your chosen rate.

Stay 02 · Vegan options across the main meals

Lara Barut Collection

Location: Lara, Antalya
Best fit: Travellers prioritising a complete resort meal plan

Lara Barut publishes unusually useful detail for food planning: vegan options are offered at all meals in its Zestful Bazaar main restaurant. The same page also identifies vegan and vegetarian choices at several à la carte venues. Its buffet remains mixed, and the separate gluten-free and lactose-free categories must not be read as interchangeable with vegan food. [R2]

This makes the property worth comparing when you expect to spend much of your holiday on site. Ask the kitchen how a full day would look for you, including a satisfying breakfast and something suitable between meals. Families can also ask whether a child’s portion can be prepared from the same vegan dishes rather than relying on a separate children’s buffet.

Restaurant opening arrangements can change with the season. Check which venues operate during your dates, whether reservations are needed and whether the offer you are buying includes them. The hotel already appears in our Antalya guide; here its role is to provide the resort-dining benchmark against Side and Akra’s specialist arrangement.

  • ✓ Published vegan options at every main-buffet meal.
  • ✓ Additional named venues with vegan or vegetarian choices.
  • ✓ Seasonal operations and booking conditions still need checking.

Stay 03 · Dedicated raw-vegan restaurant

Akra Antalya with TheLifeCo

Location: Antalya city
Best fit: A deliberately chosen plant-based dining arrangement

TheLifeCo is a raw-vegan restaurant within Akra Antalya, not proof that the whole hotel is vegan. Akra’s official page describes a TheLifeCo Vegan Gourmet Room with plant-based breakfast, lunch and dinner at that restaurant. It also specifies that this room arrangement does not include access to the Panora open buffet. Those package details matter more than a broad “vegan hotel” label. [R3]

Request the exact room-and-food arrangement by name and obtain a written explanation of what is included. A standard Akra room offered through a booking platform should not be assumed to contain this specialist package. Consider whether you actually enjoy raw-vegan cuisine; it is a particular dining style, not the same thing as a large cooked-food buffet.

The property is retained from our earlier Turkey coverage. Read the existing TheLifeCo Antalya portrait for editorial continuity, but use the current package distinctions above when comparing reservations. No detoxification or treatment-effect claims are adopted in this guide.

  • ✓ Dedicated raw-vegan restaurant inside a mixed-diet hotel.
  • ✓ The named room package specifies three plant-based meals.
  • ✓ Confirm the package; a general hotel booking is not sufficient.

Before booking: compare the food, not only the board label

Build a complete day

Write down breakfast, lunch, dinner and any snacks you need. Ask which are covered by the rate and where each is served. Establish whether vegan dishes are labelled, whether cooking fats and sauces contain animal ingredients, and how to contact the kitchen on arrival.

Keep transfers, cancellation terms and restaurant supplements in the same comparison. A lower room price is not automatically a better-value food arrangement.

A message for the hotel

“We need vegan meals without meat, fish, dairy, eggs or honey. Could you describe breakfast, lunch and dinner for our dates, confirm which are included in our rate, and explain any restaurant reservations or supplements? Please distinguish vegan dishes from vegetarian and lactose-free options.”

Plan the holiday around your chosen base

For a mostly on-site week, first settle your daily meals, then add a small number of outings. For a sightseeing-led stay, decide which meals you will realistically eat at the hotel before buying a more comprehensive package. These are planning suggestions, not a fixed itinerary or a promise that particular excursions operate on your dates.

Use the full hotel address when arranging transport. “Antalya” can refer to the city, the airport gateway or a much wider holiday area. Do not book a transfer, restaurant or activity on the assumption that Side, Lara and central Antalya are interchangeable locations.

Turkish Riviera vegan hotel FAQs

Are these hotels entirely vegan?

No. The Barut properties publish vegan choices within wider dining services. TheLifeCo’s restaurant is vegan, but Akra Antalya as a whole is not presented as an exclusively vegan property. [R1] [R2] [R3]

Which option is in Side?

Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection is the Side property in this shortlist. Lara Barut and Akra Antalya provide different bases along the Antalya coast. [R4]

Which hotel publishes vegan options at all main meals?

Lara Barut’s official dietary page states that the relevant buffet options are available at all meals in Zestful Bazaar. Confirm the actual dishes and your rate’s inclusions. [R2]

Does every Akra booking include TheLifeCo meals?

Do not assume so. The official description attaches the stated meal arrangement to the named TheLifeCo Vegan Gourmet Room. Ask for confirmation for the exact reservation you are considering. [R3]

Does all-inclusive guarantee suitable vegan food?

The board label alone does not tell you which dishes are vegan. Ask for a sample menu, serving arrangements and information about snacks and restaurant access before committing.

Should I book the cheapest room and arrange food later?

A better approach is to settle the food and room together, especially for a specialist package. Compare the total arrangement and cancellation conditions rather than relying on a dietary filter alone.
