Argentina regional guide · Mendoza wine country · reviewed 14 September 2026

Looking for vegan-friendly hotels in Mendoza? Decide whether you want a city base, a vineyard lodge in Agrelo or a stay in the Uco Valley. This guide compares Awasi Mendoza, Auberge du Vin and NH Mendoza Cordillera, with the food evidence separated from the setting. Awasi explicitly mentions vegan restaurant options; the other two have vegan breakfast listed on Booking.com. [M1] [M2] [M4]

Which Mendoza base fits your trip?

Start with Awasi for a lodge stay with operator-described vegan dining. Compare Auberge du Vin for Tupungato and the Uco Valley, or NH Mendoza Cordillera for a city-based itinerary. These are different formats and locations, not a cheapest-to-best ranking. A vegan meal option does not make the hotel or a wine-tasting programme entirely vegan. [M1] [M3] [M5]

Regional scope: Mendoza city, Agrelo in Luján de Cuyo, and Tupungato in the Uco Valley are treated separately. We do not present every hotel as a vineyard property or imply that the whole province can be explored on foot from one base.

Affiliate disclosure: the two Booking.com buttons use affiliate links to individual hotel listings. A qualifying reservation may earn Vegan Lifestyle a commission at no extra cost to you. Awasi links directly to the operator because a confidently matched current Booking.com property URL was not established; that is not a claim that the lodge is absent from Booking.com. The direct link is not one of our Booking.com affiliate links.

Three stays, three different settings

Choose the part of Mendoza you want to experience

Visit Argentina's destination overview highlights Mendoza's wineries and the Uco Valley as regional travel draws. For this article, the useful distinction is where you sleep: a city hotel gives you a different starting point from a lodge in wine country. Do not choose purely from an atmospheric vineyard photograph. [M6]

Mendoza city

NH Mendoza Cordillera is an urban hotel. Our suggestion is to compare this format when you prefer to arrange separate excursions and keep accommodation, dining and guided activities as separate purchases. Its location is not evidence that winery transfers are included. [M5]

Agrelo and the Uco Valley

Awasi lists Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, as its location. Marriott places Auberge du Vin in Tupungato's vineyard landscape in the Uco Valley. Choose the actual area around the places you want to visit, then check the transfer arrangements and meal service. [M1] [M3]

Vegan-friendly hotels and lodges in Mendoza

Stay 01 · Operator-described vegan restaurant options

Awasi Mendoza

Location: Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo
Best fit: travellers considering a vineyard-lodge experience rather than a standard city hotel

Awasi's current Mendoza page describes private villas in a vineyard and explicitly includes vegan options in its restaurant concept. That is direct operator evidence for vegan-friendly dining, not an inference from words such as organic or farm-to-table. The restaurant also offers other dietary formats; the property is not presented here as wholly vegan. [M1]

Ask for a sample breakfast and a substantial evening meal before choosing a package. Establish how many meals are included, which alternatives require advance notice and what happens when a day trip changes your meal times. Request the current arrangements for your dates rather than assuming every advertised experience belongs to every rate.

Our editorial suggestion is to use the direct enquiry to settle accommodation, food and excursions in one written proposal. Describe any preferences about activities and room materials as well as meals. A suitable dinner does not automatically answer those wider questions.

Evidence level: an explicit vegan-options statement on the operator's current Mendoza page. No individual menu or all-inclusive vegan package was personally confirmed.

Direct operator link. A reliably matched Booking.com property target was not established during this check.

Stay 02 · Uco Valley · platform-listed vegan breakfast

Auberge du Vin

Location: Tupungato, Mendoza
Best fit: a vineyard setting for the Uco Valley part of your trip

The matched Booking.com property lists vegan among its breakfast options. Marriott's own travel material places Auberge du Vin beside a working vineyard in Tupungato and identifies its on-site Epic restaurant. These are two separate pieces of evidence: the operator supports the setting and restaurant identity, while the platform supplies the explicit vegan-breakfast category. [M2] [M3]

Before booking, request the breakfast dishes available on your dates and ask whether they need advance preparation. Confirm suitable bread, a filling option and a plant drink. Ask separately whether Epic can provide a complete vegan dinner; the existence of a restaurant is not proof of a vegan evening menu.

Compare your selected room category, not just the destination imagery. Organise transport to the wineries you actually want to visit, including the return journey, and check meal times against those arrangements. Neither a vineyard setting nor a room reservation guarantees a tasting appointment.

Evidence level: indexed Booking.com vegan-breakfast information. No detailed current vegan menu or kitchen agreement was obtained.

Stay 03 · City base · platform-listed vegan breakfast

NH Mendoza Cordillera

Location: Mendoza city
Best fit: travellers who want an urban base and separately arranged regional excursions

Booking.com includes a vegan breakfast category for NH Mendoza Cordillera. The hotel's official overview confirms its Mendoza city setting. This makes it a practical alternative to a vineyard lodge, but we did not establish a detailed operator-published vegan breakfast menu during this check. [M4] [M5]

Our suggested approach is to choose the hotel for the room and location, then request a specific breakfast proposal. Ask which items can be served without dairy, butter, eggs or honey and whether the same choice is available throughout your stay. Do not assume a vegan option named on a platform means the entire buffet is vegan.

Keep winery lunches and hotel dinners as separate decisions. Before adding a breakfast package, compare its usefulness with the times you expect to leave each day. When a trip starts early, obtain a concrete answer about collection time and food rather than a general promise of flexibility.

Evidence level: platform-listed vegan breakfast at a matched conventional hotel. Confirm the dishes and selected rate before relying on it.

Plan a wine-region stay around the experiences you will use

Our suggestion is to organise each outing around one area instead of booking hotel nights and tasting appointments independently and trying to connect them afterwards. Establish where lunch will happen, how you will get back and whether the hotel kitchen will still be serving. Leave space for a relaxed day at your base rather than treating every meal as another appointment.

Ask tasting venues which specific wines and food pairings they can confirm as vegan. The hotel's vegan dining statement does not verify a separate winery's products. Request a non-alcoholic alternative when that is your preference, and decide whether a tasting-led package is actually the experience you want.

Before selecting a restrictive rate, compare the complete stay: room, breakfast, other meals, transfers and any activities. This guide does not quote live prices, confirm tour availability or establish that every advertised facility is included in your booking.

What to ask before booking

Food and package inclusions

Ask for a sample breakfast and main course. Specify no meat, fish, animal stock, dairy, butter, eggs or honey, including in sauces and garnishes.

Confirm advance notice, serving venues and supplements. At a lodge, ask what happens to included meals when you spend a day away from the property.

A message for the property

We eat vegan. Please describe a complete breakfast and dinner for our dates, without dairy, eggs, honey or animal stock. Which meals are included in the rate? Can you confirm advance notice and help us coordinate meal times with our planned outings?

Vegan-friendly hotels in Mendoza: FAQ

Is any hotel in this selection entirely vegan?

No whole-property vegan status was established. Awasi publishes vegan restaurant options; the other two properties have platform-listed vegan breakfast. Those claims do not certify all meals or room materials.

Which stay has direct operator evidence for vegan dining?

Awasi Mendoza explicitly includes vegan choices in its restaurant description. Ask the property for the current menu and the meals included in your proposed stay. [M1]

Which hotel is in the Uco Valley?

Auberge du Vin is in Tupungato, in the Uco Valley. Awasi is in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, while NH Mendoza Cordillera is a city hotel. [M1] [M3] [M5]

Why does Awasi have a direct link instead of Booking.com?

We found a clear official property page but did not establish a confidently matched current Booking.com property URL. A direct link avoids sending readers to a guessed listing. It does not prove the hotel is unavailable through Booking.com.

Does vegan breakfast confirm vegan wine tastings?

No. Ask the tasting provider about the specific wines and pairings separately. A hotel food arrangement does not cover products or services supplied by another business.
