AKL's menu labels several dishes vegan, including hummus, baba ghannoush, a lentil-and-rice Mujadara and the Falafel AKL plate with hummus and pickled vegetables. Mix it Vegan combines several components for diners who would rather order one assorted plate. The kitchen also serves meat and dairy: a vegetarian mezze plate or a falafel dish with yoghurt sauce is not the same as the vegan preparation.
How to order vegan: Choose the vegan-labelled dish or explicitly request the vegan adaptation where offered. Check sauces and extras. Sunday and public-holiday closure matters when planning a weekend visit.
