Your Ireland hotel hub

Start with the place.
Then plan the plate.

Searching for vegan hotels in Ireland? Start with the setting you want: a city address, a lakeside outing, a country-house stay or time on the Atlantic coast.

This hub brings together our Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Connemara guides. Each compares three hotels, with a clear account of the vegan breakfast, restaurant menu or advance-request service behind the recommendation. Four starting-point profiles appear below; they are part of the twelve, not four additional hotels.

The main collection is vegan-friendly, not a directory of wholly vegan properties. Our earlier Harmony Hall Veganic and Muckross Park portraits remain available in a separate section, with the limits of the current evidence explained.

This collection covers the Republic of Ireland. For the other part of an island-wide trip, use our separate Northern Ireland hotel hub. Research checked 16 September 2026.

What does vegan-friendly
mean for your stay?

A named vegan dish

A concrete starting point

A menu can tell you exactly what to order. The Castle and The Metropole both identify a cooked vegan breakfast. That evidence applies to the named plate, not automatically to buffet extras, coffee or evening meals. [1] [2]

A vegan selection

Look at the serving venue

A hotel may offer suitable choices in several restaurants. Killarney Park describes vegan options across multiple meals; establish the actual venue and the terms of your rate before treating them as one included package. [3]

Adaptation or advance request

Agree the complete version

A dish that can be made vegan needs an explicit request. Ask about stock, cooking fat, sauces, bread and sides. A vegetarian menu or a general promise to cater for dietary requirements is not a description of every meal you will receive.

01 · Dublin

Named vegan breakfast

The Castle Hotel

Gardiner Row / Great Denmark Street, Dublin 1

For a city break built around dependable mornings, The Castle offers a clear starting point. Its Georgian-townhouse setting is different from a large modern business hotel, and the breakfast menu identifies a plant-based cooked plate rather than asking guests to assemble one from omissions. [1]

The listed vegan breakfast combines plant-based sausages, beans, mushrooms, tomato and hash browns. The vegetarian version is separate. Our suggestion is to confirm that plate, the breakfast inclusion and your departure time first, then decide independently whether to dine at the hotel later in the day.

Food basis: an explicitly named breakfast in a mixed-dining hotel. Check drinks, bread and any additional meals separately.

02 · Cork

Published vegan breakfast

The Metropole Hotel Cork

MacCurtain Street · Victorian Quarter

The Metropole gives the Cork selection a city-centre base with a defined breakfast venue, The Merchant. Its operator-linked summer menu explicitly identifies a vegan cooked breakfast, including plant-based sausages and vegetables. Other dishes on the same sheet contain eggs, dairy or honey. [2]

Use the named plate as a practical lead, not a promise that the whole buffet is vegan. Because the file is a seasonal menu, ask about the current version for your stay. Then compare the actual room-and-breakfast rate, rather than assuming every booking includes the same meal.

Food basis: a named vegan plate in a seasonal breakfast menu. This does not establish a dedicated vegan dinner menu.

03 · Kerry

Vegan choices across meals

The Killarney Park

Killarney town centre · County Kerry

The Killarney Park combines a town-centre address with several documented vegan dining options. Its FAQ identifies a vegetarian-and-vegan selection for The Garden Bar and afternoon tea, plus suitable choices at breakfast and dinner in The Peregrine. These remain mixed dining venues. [3]

For an outdoor day, the hotel also offers packed lunches with at least 24 hours' notice. Specify vegan contents when arranging one. Our suggestion is to choose the meals that fit your outings and reserve a particular restaurant evening only after its current options are clear.

Food basis: an operator-described offer across several meals. Confirm the dishes, venue and inclusion in your chosen rate.

04 · Connemara

Labelled vegan dinner dishes

Connemara Sands Hotel & Spa

Mannin Bay · Ballyconneely, County Galway

Connemara Sands is the coastal choice in this four-hotel introduction. Its dining page explicitly accommodates vegan requirements, while the linked 2026 dinner menu labels a lentil pasta dish, pea-and-shallot ravioli and roasted-pepper soup as vegan. That provides specific options to discuss with the team. [4]

Do not extend those labels to every side dish: the same menu also lists preparations with butter, cheese, honey or duck fat. Establish breakfast independently and request a complete plant-based meal, rather than treating a meat-free description as sufficient. Check the current menu and opening arrangements for your dates.

Food basis: vegan-labelled dishes in a mixed restaurant. The full Connemara guide explains the separate breakfast check.

Earlier accommodation portraits

Two existing articles,
kept in context.

These portraits remain available for further reading. They are separate from the twelve hotels in the four new destination guides.

Kilkenny area · guesthouse

Harmony Hall Veganic

The host's website continues to describe accommodation, bed-and-breakfast and catered stays alongside vegan food services. VeggieHotels also lists the property, but explicitly says it is not a certified member and does not provide verified details for it. [5]

Our older portrait calls it a vegan stay. Before booking, confirm the room format, current availability and exactly which meals will be plant-based. We are not presenting it as an independently certified, wholly vegan hotel or repeating the host's therapeutic claims.

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa

The existing Muckross Park portrait remains linked rather than being removed from the collection. It is not one of the three menu-supported recommendations in our new Kerry guide.

The Kerry guide explains that its research did not establish a specific current vegan meal selection from the dining material checked. That is not a claim that vegan catering is unavailable. Request a present-day breakfast and dinner proposal before relying on the older article for a food-led booking. [6]

Build a trip that works

Choose the base.
Leave room for the day.

For a first plan, choose fewer bases and give each one enough time. The following are editorial suggestions, not fixed transport itineraries.

Start with a city stay

Use Dublin or Cork when the city itself is part of your trip. Compare the actual hotel address with your arrival point, first evening and earliest departure. A meal you can eat at the right time matters more than an impressive but impractical facilities list.

Add one scenic region

Choose Kerry or Connemara around the kind of days you want, rather than trying to fit every landscape into a short visit. Leave space for stops and local conditions. A hotel meal reservation should support the day, not force an unnecessarily rushed return.

Keep travel days simple

Agree the first evening meal at a new base and arrange food before an early start. Check the actual journey, dining window and cancellation conditions before paying. Do not treat a room booking, restaurant reservation and dietary request as the same arrangement.

Vegan breakfast deserves its own question.

Ask for a filling dish, suitable bread, a spread and a plant drink. Confirm butter, eggs, honey and cooking fats in the items you add. Even a restaurant with an extensive vegan dinner menu may serve breakfast elsewhere, with a different team or selection.

For days outdoors, ask whether a packed lunch can be arranged and describe what you need. Check both its contents and storage requirements. Choose prepaid hotel meals around the days you will actually spend on site rather than buying a larger package by default.

A useful message to the hotel

We eat vegan, without meat, fish, seafood, animal stock, dairy, butter, eggs or honey. Please describe a complete breakfast and two suitable main courses for our dates. Which restaurant serves them, what does our rate include, and how much notice is required?

Keep the reply with your reservation and reconfirm essential arrangements before arrival. Discuss any allergy separately with the kitchen; a vegan label is not an allergy-safety guarantee.

Useful answers

Vegan hotels in Ireland: FAQ

Are all twelve hotels completely vegan?

No. The destination guides cover conventional hotels with documented vegan food or dietary arrangements. Each profile explains the scope of the offer. Harmony Hall appears separately, without a claim of verified whole-property vegan certification.

Which destinations have full hotel guides?

Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Connemara each have a published guide with three accommodation profiles. The four illustrated destination cards above open those guides directly.

Where is a cooked vegan hotel breakfast documented?

The Castle Hotel in Dublin and The Metropole in Cork explicitly name vegan cooked breakfasts. The menus and room-rate inclusions still need checking for your dates. The destination guides compare further breakfast arrangements. [1] [2]

Should I choose Kerry or Connemara?

Use the regional guides to compare the trip you prefer. Kerry focuses on Killarney and the Ring of Kerry towards Sneem; Connemara compares a river estate, the Mannin Bay coast and Clifden. Choose around your planned days, confirmed meals and actual journey.

Does this hub include Northern Ireland?

The main collection covers the Republic of Ireland. Belfast and other northern destinations have their own Northern Ireland hotel hub, which can be used alongside this one for an island-wide trip.

Do the booking buttons guarantee a vegan meal package?

No. They open the specific hotel listings. Select your dates and inspect the rate's meal inclusions, then agree any necessary dietary preparations with the hotel. A room reservation does not itself confirm an adapted meal or a restaurant table.

Research notes and sources

Checked on . This hub organises four published Vegan Lifestyle destination guides. Their twelve properties are distinct; the four profiles above are a subset. The two earlier portraits are excluded from that count. Selection is editorial, not a search-volume or review-score ranking.

The highlighted food claims were checked against operator pages and linked menus. This is desk research, not a first-hand stay or a personal agreement with a kitchen. Seasonal menus, required adaptations and weaker evidence are identified. Booking links retain the property targets used in the destination guides; no live availability, checkout, prices or commission attribution were tested.
