Find your next vegan meal in Tacoma
Five current Tacoma stops for all-vegan comfort food, Cuban-inspired vegan dishes, hot dogs, sandwiches and early vegan bakery options.
Tacoma’s plant-based scene changed when longtime vegan restaurant Viva closed in 2025, but the city still has one dedicated vegan restaurant plus several mixed kitchens with unusually large vegan menus. This guide uses current 2026 local coverage instead of repeating closed legacy favorites.
Tacoma is especially strong for vegan comfort food and sandwiches. Quickie Too is the dedicated vegan anchor; Hilltop, Sixth Avenue and South Tacoma add mixed bars whose vegan menus are substantial enough to be destinations in their own right.

Vegan breakfast and brunch in Tacoma
Earliest stop: Corina Bakery
Corina opens at 7:30 am Monday through Friday, 8:00 am Saturday and 9:00 am Sunday with vegan pies, cakes and other baked goods.
Dedicated vegan food starts later
Quickie Too is fully vegan but its current schedule is limited and begins no earlier than 11:00 am, so it works better for lunch than breakfast.
For a sit-down breakfast rather than pastries, Tacoma has additional mixed cafes with individual vegan dishes, but the five profiles here prioritize the strongest documented vegan menus.
Plan your Tacoma vegan food stops
Hilltop pairing
Quickie Too and Peterson Bros. 1111 are both in the Hilltop area, but their schedules and service styles are very different: takeout-only vegan food versus a late-night 21+ bar.
Know the age restrictions
The Red Hot and Peterson Bros. 1111 are 21+ venues. Quickie Too and Corina Bakery are better choices for travelers who need an all-ages stop.
Do not plan around Viva Tacoma: the former Proctor vegan restaurant closed after service on February 28, 2025 and is intentionally excluded from the active restaurant list.
